Hubble Mobile is now on Google Play

Two weeks ago we opened the Android beta. Today Hubble Mobile is approved and available to everyone on Google Play. Every canvasser on your campaign can now knock doors with Hubble, whatever phone is in their pocket.

🤖 Everything you need at the door

The Android app does everything the iPhone app does:

• Pull up your turf assignments, walk lists, and response forms, even without service
• Assign yourself a new turf by typing its ID or scanning a QR code
• Record outcomes and answers for all eight question types, with follow-up questions that only appear when they should
• Copy responses across a household with one tap, or record a lit drop once for the whole door
• See the whole turf on a map, with apartment buildings grouped into one pin and a unit list behind it
• Report a pin that’s in the wrong place
• Track your own streaks and totals, and add a home screen widget with your canvass stats

It runs on Android 10 and newer, and on tablets it shows the turf list and the turf side by side. Log in with the same Hubble account you use on the web.

🆕 New since the beta

A few things landed on both Android and iPhone while the beta was running.

Turf notifications. Your phone tells you when someone assigns you a turf, when a turf is due soon or past due, and when your campaign changes the script or settings on a turf you’re working. Tap the notification to go straight to the turf. Each campaign gets its own switches under Preferences, so you hear about the turfs you care about.

Collect phone numbers and emails at the door. When your campaign turns it on for a canvass, canvassers can add phone numbers, email addresses, and notes to a contact right from the Details tab. They upload on their own when you’re back online and land on the contact’s record in Hubble.

Faster, safer sync. The apps now download every turf in one request and upload everything you’ve recorded before they download, so a sync never steps on a door you knocked offline. Signing out uploads your doors first and warns you if any couldn’t be sent.

One tap to change an outcome. The outcome you picked for a door now shows as a badge at the top of the visit. Tap it to change your answer.

To everyone who installed the beta and sent us what they ran into: thank you. Most of the fixes in this release came from those reports.
